Kabuki Magic

I recently had the privilege of meeting one of the most amazing and Avant Garde make-up artists in the world! He goes by the name of "Kabuki." Kabuki is originally from England and was already an accomplished artist by his teens. He has done make-up for the ladies of Sex & the City, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, and Iman to name a few. And has worked with every major fashion magazine in the world. His paintings and drawings can be found in various galleries, books and magazines. I was invited to spend two hours at the Hammer Museum in L.A. sipping champagne while listening to Kabuki himself do a demonstration of the fantasy make-up he recently created for Katy Parry's "E.T." music video. Kabuki shared with us his process for making artistic decisions in ambitious, collaborative endeavors, videos as well as editorials and fashion shows. I was truly in awe of the transformation he created on the model right in front of us. This was the first time I had seen a make-up artist translate his love for art onto the human canvas. It was truly Kabuki magic!

Jewels Be Mine!

Do you want to know what I adore? J'adore big rings. I guess most ladies do...we all dream of that day when our lover buys us a big rock. Ok so maybe it won't be as big as Kim Kardashians engagement ring, but a girl can dream right? I am a HUGE believer in big bling. That goes for necklaces and earrings too. I love when jewels just shine and you can't take your eyes off of it!

Well ladies let me tell you about the little ring in this picture. This is from my hand-made jewelry collection, Jewels by Desiree, which is available at www.JewelsbyDesiree.com This ring is a Gold Quartz stone wrapped in 14K gold-filled wire.  Isn't she a beauty? I'm sure if you buy this for yourself everyone will be wondering who the lucky man is! It was designed with such perfection...just gorgeous!

Christian Louboutin or Die!

If you're going to bury me, have the decency to do it in these Christian Louboutin Sexy Strass 100mm heels!...Or my red patent leather heels for pete's sake.

Even Mr. Louboutin says "Sexy sure is one sexy pump! She brings toe cleavage to a whole new level and dawns a pencil heel that could pierce the ground." And for $3,295 I better be getting all that toe cleavage and more....These shoes are so feminine, powerful and well...I feel very excited just from looking at them!

Can you imagine wearing these with a little black cocktail dress? Or anything in between for that matter?! I am grateful for Christian Louboutin, he's such a creative shoe designer.  Très fem chic Louboutin!

Desiree
